Let me share with you what Jesus Christ has done for me, and more importantly what He can do for you. The Bible, God’s Word, declares why we need Jesus and how we are to trust Him for the forgiveness of our sins.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Are You Ready for the Final Bell?
Someday that final bell of life will sound for us all. I am now ready for that day! I’m enjoying every day that I live with the joy and peace that comes only from knowing the Lord. I have the assurance of eternal life when I die and the confidence of a faithful Provider meeting all of my earthly needs, despite what accomplishments or disappointments come my way.
Are you ready for that day when the final bell of your life rings? Do you have the joy and peace that come only from the forgiveness of your sins and walking in fellowship with the Lord, Jesus Christ? You can have the confidence and certainty that I have if you will right now trust Christ as your Savior.
Admit your spiritual need. We are all sinners. Every one of us falls short of being perfect. We are in need of a Savior. We cannot solve the problem of sin, but God, who is perfect, can and has. He has become a bridge for us. John 3:16-17 states: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
One thing we need to remember is that God never sends anyone to hell. We send ourselves there by rejecting His truth. If you acknowledge that you are a sinner, repent from your sins, accept the promise that Christ is the solution, and receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will be saved and begin your new life walking with Him.
The Bible says in Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks, seeking entrance into your life. Are you willing to admit your sinfulness to God? Will you accept the shed blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross as payment for your sins? If you would like to receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life right now, pray a prayer something like this from the sincerity of your heart. Merely saying these words will not save you. It is the realization that this is the genuine need of your heart and the desire for your life that saves you.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that there is nothing I can do to save myself. I believe that You died on the cross, shed Your blood, and rose from the dead as the only payment for my sins. I now repent of my sins and place my complete faith and trust in You alone as my Savior. Please take control of my life and help me to live for You and to please You in all I think, say and do. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
If you just prayed to accept Jesus Christ into your life for the forgiveness of your sins, let me be the first to welcome you into God’s family as His child! The Bible says in John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
Secondly, let me encourage you to share with others this most important decision you have just made. By doing so, it will encourage and strengthen you in your new relationship with Jesus. The Bible encourages us to do so. Romans 10: 11 For the Scriptures saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
